1. Patient Rights & Responsibilities
Every patient seeking treatment at CH Memorial Hospital has the right to receive considerate, respectful, and non-discriminatory healthcare regardless of race, religion, gender, or economic background.
- Patients have the right to complete information regarding their diagnosis, proposed treatments, potential risks, and alternative medical options.
- Patients are responsible for providing complete and accurate medical history, past prescriptions, allergic sensitivities, and existing health conditions.
- Patients and their visitors are expected to maintain courteous behavior towards doctors, nursing staff, technicians, and fellow patients.
2. Consultations & Appointment Policy
Outpatient Department (OPD) tokens and booked appointments are managed to minimize waiting times. However, emergency situations, trauma resuscitations, and urgent surgeries may occasionally take priority.
If you need to reschedule or cancel a booked doctor consultation, we kindly request giving at least 2 hours prior notice via phone or our reception desk.
3. Inpatient Admission & Visitor Protocols
To maintain a quiet healing atmosphere and ensure optimal infection control, the following rules apply to all inpatient wards and intensive care units:
- Only one bystander / attendant pass is permitted per patient room or ward bed at night.
- General visiting hours are restricted to 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM daily. Visiting hours in ICUs and neonatal care units are subject to doctor discretion.
- Smoking, consumption of alcohol, or possession of contraband anywhere inside the hospital premises is strictly prohibited under legal statutes.
4. Billing, Insurance & Payment Terms
CH Memorial Hospital is committed to transparent, ethical, and affordable healthcare billing. Detailed estimate sheets are provided prior to elective surgical procedures.
For cashless insurance admissions, final approval is subject to the terms and exclusions determined by your respective Insurance Provider / TPA. Expenses disallowed or marked as non-medical by the insurer remain payable by the patient prior to discharge.
5. Emergency & Casualty Admissions
Emergency and trauma cases are attended immediately by our 24/7 Casualty team without administrative delay, conforming to medical ethics and national clinical standards.
